The Michael Stich Foundation really has its hands full during Advent. Around 20,000 euros worth of donations are used each year to give affected children and their families a happy Christmas. For the very little ones, the carers or parents provide presents in the form of toys. Older affected children and their siblings receive gift vouchers. The big kids are happy for the opportunity to have their own budget.
At this point very special thanks go to Annes Quiltwerkstatt.
For more than 10 years the course participants have sewn Christmas presents with love and devotion for the affected children and young people as well as the supporting facilities.
Lovingly crafted Advent calendars made from fabric have remained at the clinics and bring pleasure to the children and personnel alike each year.
We regularly facilitate group and family holidays and daytrips for the children that we support and their families.
This allows the families to have an unburdened, exciting and nice time together and with other people who are affected. Parents and children can forget their everyday lives for a moment and openly speak about their worries and problems with one another.
There are seminars for affected parents, whilst their children are looked after by child care workers, so that the parents can be completely disencumbered for once.
For the optimal supply of infected children we support facilities such as clinics in hospitals with very specific grants:
We thank our partner Lipoid Foundation for their generous support!
